VICAR'S MESSAGE FOR JUNE 2026

Dearly beloved of Immanuel Mar Thoma Parish, Kuwait. Grace and peace to you.

As we step into June, we move from the fire of Pentecost into the steady work of living as God’s people. The Spirit who came with wind and flame now leads us into ordinary days, teaching us to pray without ceasing, to serve without counting cost, and to witness with gentleness and courage. May this month be marked by a quit faithfulness that reflects the risen Christ in our homes, workplaces, and parish.

In a world shaped byt rends, likes, and loud voices, Jesus remains the one whose influence still changes hearts. He had no platform, no army, no social media- yt two thousand years later, His words, His love, and His sacrifice continue to shape lives. Jesus influenced not by power, but by humiltiy. Not by cotnrol, but by service. Not by shouting, but by laying down His life. As His disciples, we are called to carry that same influence: to love sacrificially, to serve quitly, and to point others to the One whot rulyt ransforms.

As longer days and the beatuy of God’s handiwork surround us, we are reminded that creation itself declares His glory. The skies, the sea, the rising sun, and the quit night all speak of a God who is vast, orderly, and good. When we pause to notice, the world becomes a hymn. May this month teach us to see God not only in our prayers and in Scripture, but also in the world He made and sustains.

Worship is not first about what we feel or what we gt from it. Worship is about being with God and aligning our lives with His purposes. When we gather, we come into His presence to hear, to surrender, and to be sent. When we worship, we are shaped to love our neighbors, to seek justice, and to live for His glory in every corner of our lives. May this month be one where our worship moves beyond the sanctuary and into our daily obedience.

At the center of our faith stands the cross, where God’s justice and mercy met. The cross is not as ymbol of defeat, but the clearest display of God’s grace. In Christ’s suffering and sacrifice, we see a love that gives without condition, forgives without limit, and restores without cost to us. As we look to the cross this month, may we be humbled by His grace and moved to extend that same grace to others.

As we conclude the season of the Apostles’ Lent, we turn our hearts to St. Paul and St. Pter, pillars of the early Church. Their lives remind us that the Gospel is carried forward not by the strong, but by the surrendered. Paul, the relentless missionary, and Pter, the restored disciple, show us that God uses both zeal and weakness for His glory. May their example stir us to deeper obedience and bolder witness as we step into the second half of the year.

May the Lord bless our parish family as we continue to walk togther in faith. Lt us carry forward the lessons of this season, grounded in prayer, strengthened by His grace, and committed to living out the Gospel in every part of our lives.

In Christ’s Service,

Arun John Achen
